The most exciting radio was the voice of Toronto’s Foster Hewitt as he screamed, “He shoots . . . He scores!” as well as the play—by-play of the Montreal Canadiens by the great Danny Gallivan. Every Saturday night Hewitt or Gallivan brought the outstanding stars of NHL hockey into our homes.
