I recall getting a drive home from school in Montague with him, and as we got nearer my home he said, “Now, boy, you live around here somewhere?” In spite of these few, unimportant shortcomings, he was much loved by young and old. His departure from the parish in 1966, to retirement in Charlottetown, greatly saddened his faithful parishioners.
