' Abomthe‘Aut-‘hOr Gene Murphy grew up in the community of Sturgeon with his parents, Neil and Matilda, and his two younger siblings, Lorraine and Gerard. A graduate of the University of Prince Edward Island, he taught high school science and mathmatics at Montague Regional High School for almost a quarter of a century. After retiring from the teaching profession, he and his brother purchased and operated the retail business Clark’s ‘79 Limited in Montague for almost twenty years. He is one of the founding members of the Celtic entertainment group The Calamity Brothers. He and his wife, Mary E Connolly, are enjoying retirement in their home in Lower Montague, PE. I.
