Since it was described as the property, the only site I could think of was the property where the liquor store now stands. I can recall this property having a very high fence to give some privacy to the Sisters of the Precious Blood, who were located on where the Gahan House is now located. I decided to check with the land registry office, where I was able to get information about three properties on directly behind the Precious Blood Monastery showing the bowling alley and the billiard room. The league bought the Duncan properties on in 1903 for $1,000, with the intention of building a new centre in the future. This was the location of the society's activities when the Presbyterian Church, which was being used by St. Dunstan's on a temporary basis, became available. The logical move was for The League of the Cross to take it over, since the diocese had bought it. On September 20th, 1922 the Charlottetown Patriot carried the following news item: "SPLENDID NEW QUARTERS FOR THE LEAGUE OF THE CROSS "THE PRO-CATHEDRAL HAS BEEN REMODELLED AND PUT IN FIRST CLASS SHAPE. THE OPENING WILL TAKE PUCE NEXT MONDAY "The Pro-Cathedral, or Parish Hall, lately acquired by the League Of The Cross Society from the Presbyterian church, has undergone some wonderful changes at the hands of the contractors, Messrs. Walker and Cavanagh. "The outside presents an entirely different appearance. The spire has been taken down, the outside stairs leading to the main floor removed and in its place a large double entrance has been built in, one side leading to the basement, the other to the main floor. "On entering the basement, which is practically the main portion of the institution, or the part that will be used most, one enters the bowling alleys 7
