10 donated a beautiful stained glass memorial window to the church In memory of father, mother and sister. In 1941, Rev. J.R. McMahon became rector but in 1942 he, too, joined His Majesty's Armed Forces and went overseas to serve his country. In 1942 a stained glass window was given to the church by Charles G. Carson in memory of his father and mother, Mr. and Mr3. John Carson . Rev. Sidney J . Davies became rector of the Milton -Rustico Parish in 1944. Electric lights were installed in the church at Milton in 1944 and at St . Mark's in Rustico in 1947. A memorial tablet on the wall of St. John's Church is in memory of Lt. Parker Rodd who was killed in action near Ortona, Italy, February 1st, 1944, aged 29 years. In 1948, Rev. A.E. Piercey became rector. In 1950 a new cement foundation was installed under the west, north and part of the east walls with the cut sandstone being left under the tower and south wall and a complete redecoration of the interior of St. John's Church was done. During the years, several memorial gifts were donated to St. John's Church. Some of these were: a Prayer Book for the Holy Table given by Miss Ethel L. Coles in memory of Coles and Hooper Families , and an electric organ given by the late Mrs. C.R. Blrt , Milton, in memory of her parents, Archdeacon and Mrs. T.B. Reagh , who served the Parish of Mi 1ton- Rustico for twenty-one ye----- iars . A stained glass window was given in loving memory of James M. and Margaret J. Hooper by their daughter Lois M. Richards . A memorial plaque which reads, "To the glory of God and in loving memory of Charles Coles and his wife, Constance E. Crabbe and their children who were amongst the first to worship in this church" hangs on one wall of the church.
