Community Organizations

Guardian assisted by Edith MacPhail. The first president was Noel Potts and Hope MacPhail served as the first secretary. Many of the young people were involved through the years. Later guardians were Lorna Pollard and Ruby Sellar, who served as guardian until the lodge was disbanded.

There were many events enjoyed over the years. In the early years, every July 12th, a large tea and parade was held. These would be held in different communities and members from all over the Island would attend. In later years, the Argyle lodges held their own picnic to commemorate the special date.

The Right Worshipful Grand Lodges of PEI. would meet once a year, either in Charlottetown or Summerside, and hold sessions for the day. Usually, there would be representatives from the Most Worshipful Grand Lodges of Canada in attendance. The business of
