The History of Argyle Shore Community Hall The Hall was built in 1902 by the hall company which was made up of several men from the community. It was originally the meeting place for the congregation of the Church of Scotland. The Orange Lodge had use of the upstairs portion, free of charge for ninety-nine vears, until 2001; however, it is not in use at this time. The "old shed" behind the hall was used for the horses and later purchased for a storage area by Edwin MacPhail in the 1970s. The shed was burned by controlled fire in the 1980s. The Sea Breeze Senior Citizen's club also had access, at no cost, to the Community Centre. The Women's Institute is responsible for ongoing maintenance of the Centre.
