The Potts family have had several horses on their trails over the years. In the beginning there were two horses, Dolly and Dan. As the business grew, so did the number of horses in the stable. Dolly was always the “pride of the barn" and was small but fast. She was the horse everyone remembered and talked about. In the early 1990’s, Noel and Dolly starred in a Japanese film about “Anne of Green Gables” (Noel played the part of lVlatthew). Noel and Dolly also starred in the television series, “The Road to Avonlea” and the series “Emily of New Moon”. Noel also used Dolly in several weddings and parades over the years as well. After Dolly died, Noel could be heard saying, “IfI had a dollar for every time that little mare had her picture taken, I’d be a millionaire”. Many people have enjoyed this special winter activity, there have even been marriage proposals made en route. For the comfort oftheir riders, they still use buffalo wraps and serve home made hot chocolate after the ride.
