The Houses ot Argyle Shore 9. Kenny & Elizabeth MacDougall The family home of Kenny & Elizabeth MacDougall was built by Andrew White in approximately 1900. Original owners were Alexander (Alex) MacDougall and his wife, Charlotte (MacLauchlan), who lived in the home with their children, Cyrus, Lena, Linda, and John Alexander . Cyrus moved across the road to the house of his Uncle jack MacDougall . Lena married Duncan Stewart of Nova Scotia . Linda married a Craig and she died in childbirth. John Alexander (Johnny) remained in the home place, married Mamie (Beer) and raised three children, Elizabeth remained at home until she went to live at the Prince Edward Home after sufffering a stroke. Helen married Lloyd MacPhail of New Haven , Edna, died at six months, and Kenneth married Elizabeth (Perry). Kenneth (Kenny) made many renovations to the house in 1960, consisting of a new foundation, double sun porch, and extended kitchen. He and Elizabeth had a son Darren, who now lives in a separate home on the property with his family. Their home is a two storey structure and was built in 1983, by Ken MacDougall with the help of his brother-in-law William Perry . The verandah was added in later years. Darren and Tammy live there with their sons, Carson and Coulton . 109
