The home ofArt and Barb Currie was built around 1910 by Annie and John Ferguson. It was built to replace a home north west ofthe present home which was lost to fire. A sunroom was added to the home by Bev and Cecil lVIacPhail, who bought the property in 1947. Cecil served in World War 11 and returned home in 1946. They had six children and lived on the farm until 1974 when they built a new home on part of the property.
In 1974, Wilbur and Becky Brandt of Vermont purchased the home and farm property. Carl and Marg Brown (who had bought seven acres of shore front from the farm in the 1960‘s) purchased it in 1978. Their children included, Kate, Tim, Anne, Carol, and George. By 1992, several changes had been made by the Browns. rlhey turned the sunroom into a four season room where Marg had her loom.ThCy closed ofir the outside entrance to the basement, moved the porch entry to the north side of the sunroom and closed the entry which was on the east side of the present kitchen.The former pantry was turned into a downstairs bathroom. Large windows were added to the south side of the house opening the house up to the light and the beautiful View of the shore. They replaced a northwest window with a door and
