Albert married Annabelle "Belle" (MacRae) and they eventually passed the property on to their son, John Albert . He and his wife, Mary (McKay), raised their children, Morris, Jean and Elsie here. John Albert died in 1960, Morris and his wife June continued to live here until they moved to their present home. Inl971, it was bought by George and Elaine Zimbel who named it " Bona Pide Farm". George was a renowned documentary photographer from New York and Elaine practiced psychodrama. They raised four children here, Matthew, Andrew, Isaac and Jodi . George devoted himself wholly to the hard work of a farmer, having to look after more than 100 acres of land, and yet often made time to photograph the animals that he cared for. This was the last time that the property was farmed. In 1980, George and Elaine moved to Montreal. The fields and shore lots were sold off and 2.5 acres were left with the house. In 1985, it was purchased by Celia Francis and Alan Silby and in 1987, Roy Johnstone bought the property. He and his wife, Sarah Saunders , presently live in it. Roy was born in Winnipeg but moved to the Island in 1978 as part of the "back to the land" movement. He is a professional musician and the house now resonates with the sound of his fiddle music. Sarah grew up in Charlottetown , one of five daughters of Doug Saunders and Pauline (Todd). She creates ceramic based artwork and is inspired by the history of life in the house and relics unearthed around the property. f^ In the 60's or 70s, the large barn behind the house burned. A 137
