51. Carl Potts

This split level was built in 1970 by Carl Potts. It was built on the family farm and is situated on the site of the sleigh ride business. Carl and his wife, lrvina (Vail), lived there with their son, David (Nancy Beer). The house is presently occupied by Carl and Dorothy (Shaw). Dorothy‘s children, Morgan and Matthew Doucette, were also raised there.

,/:~ Along with helping to operate the family farm until his retirement, Carl also ran a meat shop from a building on his property and operated a successful meat- peddling business for a number ofyears.
