The property, known as the Loo farm, was originally owned by Neil Campbell and his wife, Kitty (MacLean). The next owner was George Campbell who later sold it to Brad Boyce from Bonshaw. Brad married Margaret (Ferguson) from Hampton and they had four children: Wanda, Leah, Wilfred, and Bernice. The property then was sold to Weldon Smith who later sold it to John MacLean. He moved here with his wife, Edith (MacDougall) from Saskatchewan in 1936.They had children: Margaret (married Harold MacKinnon from the next farm in Canoe Cove),John, Wesley,Jimmy, Edison, and Arthur.
The next owners were Kenny and Alice (MacLean) Shaw who lost the original house to fire. Kenny built the house that is standing there now. They had several children who died at an early age although they
have one surviving son, Lewis. The farm was sold to John Loo who
married Tina (Havenga). They had seven children, Kathleen (Blake Craig), Ronnie (Judy), Edward (Janet), Mary, Nancy (Jon Reeder), Glenda and Chris. Ronald and Judy, with their four children, Maria, Lucas,Angela, andJacob,presently reside on the property and continue to operate the farm.
