Revelstoke is a pretty little place which we passed about 7 o'clock and Sicamous another place which looked just like home in midsummer on a bright moonlight night. Funny that there was snow everywhere along except there. After we passed there the weather was a little cooler and a little snow on the ground even within a few miles of Vancouver. Thursday Dec. 12. Reached Vancouver at 11 o'clock am. Too late for the boat for Victoria so we paraded to C.G.R barracks. Had dinner then and immediately scattered to look at the town. Spent a very nice afternoon calling on some friends, marched about halfa mile to the boat. Left Vancouver at 11:45 arrived at Victoria at 7 o'clock. Good breakfast on board, landed in a rain storm, marched something over two miles to the Willows camp. Victoria called the Sleepy city and Rainy city. Both names suit. English very. Spent a few evenings in town, but nothing doing at all. Spent Xmas at Vancouver. Had a very pleasant time. Vancouver is more bustling than Victoria and appears to be more Americanized.
