Friday, January 24th, 1919 Weather fine and not very cold. Spent most of the day in Office. Nothing of importance

happened during the day.

Saturday, January 25th, 1919 Weather fine and moderately cold. Spent most of the day out making road traverses and taking levels for making map. We heard to-day that the Peace Conference had decided not to interfere with the internal affairs of Russia. I wonder just what that means and how it will effect us. We also heard that a ship from Canada is expected to arrive at Vladivostok to-morrow and 1 am@ for some ma] -1 from home.

Sunday, January 26th, 1919 - Weather fine and moderately cold. Lt.-Col- Stayner, AA. and Q.M.G., and Major Adams, G.S.0.3 (Intelligence), came out from town in the morning. Both Officers arc on Force H.Q. Adams used to belong to my detachment of Corps of Guides. Did a little work in the Office. In the aftemoon had a long talk with Gen. Bickford on the general situation in Siberia, and it is a most curious and complex one. Probably in the next weeks we will know whether we are to go up country or return home. The situation is an interesting one, but I can't write anything about it at present.
