s Kathleen approaches her mid—80s, she continues to live in the family home that she and Bill built more than a half century efore. The period following Bill’s death was a very difficult
and trying time for her. Bolstered by her faith, and the love of family and friends, she gradually realized that life would go on and she resolved to make the best of it. She enjoys good health, and keeps eXtremely busy with a daily routine. Weather permitting, she walks every day. At different times, she went to walking tracks at the University of Prince Edward Island and the Stratford town hall. She regularly attends mass at 9:00 am. at the Holy Redeemer Church. She plays competitive bridge three or four times a week, drives her own car and prepares her own meals. She is an avid reader, quilter and rug maker. She welcomes family and friends to her home every day.
Her one overriding passion is ensuring the health and happiness of her growing family. She is quick to offer advice, a sympathetic ear, a meal or a comfortable couch on which to grab a quick nap. Mary Jane is in daily contact, and keeps on top of activities and events. She frequently issues marching orders to her brothers to offer assistance as needed. They all comply.
Kathleen remains eXtremely close to her immediate family, including her 28 grandchildren, and keeps in close touch with all of them on a regular basis.
