The ball bear- ings make it run smooth and noiselessly, the two specially oil temper- ed steel spiral springs underneath give the washer the rebound back- ward and forward, requiring but the weight of the hand to keep it in motion. The double acting principle forces the air, boiling water and soapsuds through the clothes, and as the whole interior of the tub is a solid scrubbing surface it cleans the clothes thoroughly and well. One of the improved features of the Cycle Ball-Bearing Wash- er over others is the hinged cover which is stationary and so design- ed that when raised the water runs back into the tub. No. 839—There is nothing too good that we can say about the Im- proved New Cycle Washer—We cannot recommend it too highly to our customers that want a machine to stand up to good hard service. The steel frame is neat and strong, is braced, rivetted, and bolted at all vital points; the flanged steel feet give the tub a great bearing surface. Tub is made of the best Southern Cypress, dovetailed together, and bound with electrically welded hoops. The sensitively tempered steel spiral springs underneath actually do the work, requiring but very little hel from the operator. The principle of forcing hot water and suds throug the clothes cleans thoroughly without injury to the most delicate fabric. The cover is hinged; when raised the water runs back into the tub, making it much better than the kinds that necessitate laying the sopping wet cover on the floor.
