It had been a great experience for the executive and all of the local club members. They had stayed with the 12 gauge skeet event only, and had not scheduled any events with the small 20 or .410. C.I.L. representative Bill Tobin, who was replacing the holidaying Dunc Morrison, sent a personal letter of congratulations to the President, and the Club could now relax and rest on its laurels.

The accomplishment of 100 straight skeet targets was, in 1956, the most sought after prize in the national game. There were two or three Maritime gun- ners who had achieved the elusive mark, but the vast majority were still struggling to get that first 25. The honor of breaking the first 100 straight on the Island fell on this writer and since it was a major milestone--and not without incident--we will relate it briefly, as it happened at the Maritime Championships.
