elected were Allan Ford, President; Bill Griffin Jr., Vice-President; Harley Ings, Secretary; and Sid Green, Treasurer. Apart from the regular business, two issues dominated the meeting--the first being an annual participation grant given to the Club by the Island Shooting Federation supposedly for participant travel to the Atlantic Championships...and should the money go into Club funds or to the individuals? Arguments were heard, and misinterpretations devel- oped, causing personal feelings that would take a couple of years to resolve. Through it all, the grants kept coming, the shooters kept going, and one way or the other the grant money eventually found its way to the gunners, as intended, on a legitimate pro- rata participation basis. The second matter was the old clubhouse in its rapidly deteriorating condition, and everyone knew replacement was necessary. Sid Green had studied the matter and obtained plans for a new 16' x 30' structure that could be built over the winter by students at the Provincial Vocational Institute for material costs only. He moved the Club approve costs of approximately $3550., plus founda- tions, and proceed immediately to have it constructed. With the motion approved, a new clubhouse was ordered.
