WHEN IN NEED OF Road Emergency Service
1. Call the NEAREST OFFICIAL GARAGE :(As per Official Garage List). (See page 16) stating :—
(a) Name.
(b) Membership Number,
(ce) Exact location of car,
{d) Nature of trouble.
(e) On arrival of Service ‘Car show your membership card.
<f) On completion of work, sign the mechanic’s receipt book and and the member will receive a duplicate receipt from the ‘mechanic. This receipt must be mailed to the Secretary of this League immediaiely.
(g) BE SURE AND CARRY YOUR MEMBERSHIP CARD TO OBTAIN THIS SERVICE.
(nh) Service from May 15th to November 15th, inclusive.
2. THIS SERVICE COVERS. First Aid service (not repairing or Overhauling), starting of car, delivery of gas and oil, changing of tires sonly when spare tire has already been disabled on the trip, and same cannot be repaired by member. If service man is unable te start your ‘car within thirty minutes, he will tow your car to his Service Station ‘ONLY. If the member objects to having ‘his car towed to the nearest appointed Official Garage, the League Service STOPS, and the member must make his own arrangements from that point on,
3. This Service is purely Emergency Service and does not include wrecking ‘service, as for instance, when a car is over an embankment or When a car is overturned or such conditions as would call for a wrecker, nor does it cover such things as cleaning spark plugs, adjusting car- buretors, repairing fan belts, etc., unless such conditions cause car to lose its entire motive power. Nor does it cover the services performed at the member’s ‘home or in any Garage and such service shall be {imited to not more than ten miles from the nearest garage. This ser- Vice covers towing to the nearest appointed Garage, if not more than ten miles distant, from the place where a member’s car is in trouble, 2nd provided the appointed Garage is unable to make temporary repairs when called upon as will enable a member to continue his trip under his wn Motive Power, ‘and covers also such conditions as—
br Broken springs, broken steering gear, clutch trouble, brake trouble, token wheels, ignition trouble, pattery trouble, bringing oil and gas.
