She was originally bought for the Crown Prince of Austria, Arch- duke Charles, but was afterwards purchased by Mr. Morgan, the Million- aire, who turned the boat over to his daughter who operated it herself a5 captain. On account of this ship’s speed, the Dominion Government bought her over for submarine chasing, which service she continued till the end of the war. After being overhauled, the Duke of Connaught, Governor General of Canada and Princess Patricia then used her for various cruises in Canada. Since the Hochelaga Shipping & Towins Company bought her as a passenger boat, she has been thoroughly over- hauled and over $50,000 has been spent to make her a luxurious steamer.
